Scout is a class based around hit and run tactics, sneak attacks and reconnaissance. They are equipped with Invisibility Powder, which allows them to turn invisible and disguise themselves as any other player in the game. They also spawn with a Flint and Steel, which can be used to burn down wooden structures (such as stairs in some towers), to gather cooked food quickly and can be a decent emergency combat measure.

Special Mechanics

Scout can capture flags remotely by hitting the glass with an arrow. Besides that, they also have their Invis Powder. They can also destroy spawns.

The invisibility is complete - it hides the Scout along with their armor and whatever they have equipped. It lasts 30 seconds or until the Scout attacks someone.

The disguise lasts indefinitely until the Scout dies or hits an enemy.

Tips

Invisibility can be used both offensively and defensively.

When using Invisibility to attack, try to coordinate with your allies. Your attack can sow confusion in enemy ranks.

Disguise can be particularly useful in chaotic battles.

Don't drop empty bottles from the Swiftness potion near your spawn.

Trivia

Scout was the first class to recieve a special mechanic - their invisibility.

They also used to have an Reveal ability instead of Disguise. That has since been moved to the item Dust of Appearance.

They were originally meant to be a "saboteur" class to be played similary to how Pirates are sometimes played now.
