Wizard is an utility class based around casting one of four spells. They can choose one of four specializations, each having a passive ability and improving one of the player's spells. Wizard can fulfill various roles, depending on which specialization they choose and which spells they focus on. They recieve their Magic Wand as well as a set of Scrolls at start.

Special Mechanics

Magic Wand is used to select (using the Swap offhand button) and cast (using LMB/RMB) spells. Spellcasting is only limited by cooldowns. The Specialization Selection book is used to pick players subclass. This can by done any time, but it is not reversible. The player can cast spells before selecting a subclass.

Spells

Meteor Shower - Target Area - Cooldown 300 s

Rain of Meteors falls around the targeted block (AoE radius 8 blocks). Meteors vary in explosive power. The first and the last meteors have the highest power and fall exactly on the targeted block.

Chaos - No Target/AoE - Cooldown 200 s

Randomly swaps the appereance of all players and mobs within the affected area (AoE radius 40 blocks). Teammates of the caster see everything normally. Lasts 15 s.

Global Heal - No Target - Cooldown 200 s

The caster and all their teammates are healed for 4 HP and get 6 HP worth of absorption. The absorption HP does not expire. Warriors get 2 HP heal and 2 HP of absorption extra. Global Heal can't increase a player's absorption HP over 10 (5 hearts).

Static Storm - No Target/AoE - Cooldown 300 s

Every 14 seconds, position of all uncovered (skylight=15) enemy players within AoE radius of 150 blocks is marked. After 5 seconds, a lightning bolt is summoned on those spots. The targeting of bolts can be redirected using a lightning rod. Lasts 90 s. Any rain during this duration is changed to thunderstorm. It is ended prematurely if the caster dies.

Specializations

Note: Wizard has been recently reworked, this page is under construction.

  • Pyromancer
    • Meteor Shower replaced by Meteor Storm. More meteors are summoned, they are generally more destructive and set things on fire. There are three meteors which fall directly on the targeted block.
    • Immune to fire and burning. Can destroy spawns.
  • Illusionist
    • Chaos replaced by Pandemonium. Lasts 20 s. Summons two illusions that target enemies and have 1 HP each.
    • Undead mobs are neutral towards an illusionists.
  • Priest
    • Global Heal replaced by Global Purification. Heals for 6 HP and gves 8 HP worth of absorption. Removes all debuffs and burning.
    • Instead of bread recieves Blessed Bread.
  • Stormcaller
    • Static Storm replaced by Thunderstorm. Lightning is summoned every 9 s. Hit entities are Revealed. Death of the caster doesn't end the spell.
    • Sees the weather forecast just like Marksman.
    • The first Stormcaller in the team recieves three Scrolls of Summon Rain to the Ender chest.
      • Starts a rain which lasts for 90 s.

Trivia

This class was initially an experiment to showcase what can be done with Minecraft. The developers later regretted that. Three reworks later, they still do.
