Bloodrust is a type of a custom curse enchantment for items with durability. It is designed to shorten their life, so that powerful items do not accumulate in the game.
Bloodrust
When this item is in the inventory of a player who dies, the durability is reduced to:
- I: 2/3 of the remaining durability
- II: 1/2 of the remaining durability
- III: 1/4 of the remaining durability
- IV: 1 durability
If the item would be reduced to 10 durability or below, it is instantly destroyed.
Sources
- General has a Bloodrust II Iron Chestplate.
- Quartermaster can apply Bloodrust I when crafting items with their Portable Crafting Station.
- Some loot items have this enchantment by default.
Trivia
Bloodrust doesn't proc when the item is stashed inside of a Bundle or a Shulker Box.
