General is a flexible combat class that can effectively lead during larger fights while being a strong combatant on their own. They spawn with a full set of leather armor with an iron chestplate, which gives them a significant advantage in combat. General's special ability is War Horn, which boosts the attack of their nearby allies and gives them an Absorption shield (not the General themselves though). General also gets a Loyal Horse Egg, which spawns a fully saddled and armored horse. General is considered a high-risk class because of their high base bounty with slow sublinear scaling. Picking General allows their team to choose an extra Boon at the start of the game.
There can only be one General in a team. In King's draft, they're picked by the King. In case of Capitain's draft or Free pick mode, they can be picked with the Class Picker tool. The limit still applies in those cases.

Special Mechanics
General's ability is War Horn, which gives all allies within 40 blocks Strength II and Absorption III (6 HP) for 20 seconds. If an affected ally is a Warrior, they also get Speed II for the duration. The General themselves gets Absorption (duration 1:00) with a level corresponding to the number of allied players affected. It has a 5 minute cooldown.
They also carry a Faithful Horse Egg, which spawns a tamed and armored horse with preset stats. This item has an 8 minute cooldown. A one-use variant of this item can also be found as epic tier loot.
Before the game starts, the General can choose one extra Boon.
Tips
Because of their high bounty, General should be played only by experienced players.
Using their horse, General can have an easier time capturing some of the more distant flags. Alternatively, they can be a major annoyance when using a crossbow.
Take care of your loyal steed - you only have one and other players may steal or kill it.
Spamming Team banners may sometimes have a positive impact on team morale.
Trivia
The General was considered an alternative to Footman for good players before Warrior was introduced.
The Tfirst official game featured two Generals - both had a significant impact on the course of the game.
