This is an underground Travelling Flag directly north of Crossroads and southwest of the Last Watch, the flag is placed directly beneath the centre of the Farm.

Several entrances to the underground catacombs leading to the Flag are are on the surface, marked with broken Quartz arches and pillars, one entrance is also hidden in the Mill. The inner structure are narrow winding corridors which are usually unlit and therefore crawling with hostile mobs in addition to enemy players. Most of the doors are made out of iron and require to push a button to let a visitor through, some of them lacking a button on the other side, making them a one-way door only. There are several rooms styled as libraries, bunk bedrooms or ritual sites with loot in chests. There are also a plenty of dead ends and it is very easy to get lost.

History
The Secret Sanctuary, according to the surviving rumours, predates Cithare itself, some claim that it is older than all human life and was the seat of the Other. Though who were the Other these rumours do not specify. It certainly is a place of magic of challenged ethics performed by the residing Order of Sucrase Heq, although the rituals have caused the land above to be incredibly fertile. The miller himself had carved the secret entrance from his mill and joined the secretive order and eventually ascended as its head.

The Order has mysteriously disappeared, which has been noted only because flour has suddenly become scarce.

Tips
Torches or Night-vision help to navigate the area. Exploring beyond the main hall can yield useful loot. If you do not trust your navigation skills, with the help of a Bucket of Water you can dive into the main hall straight from above from the field.

Trivia
* The Secret Shrine was the last Flag to be added, replacing the deactivated Ruins of Zamar.

Last Watch is a flag on the Cithare map, that is placed in the top section of a old tower. It lies north-west of Serpentown and north-east of Crossroads (map). Only one pathway leads there, which connects to the road between Serpentown and Crossroads. There are also stairs that lead to the river below allowing easy access. A barrel containing loot with one rare slot is located next to the path to the tower. The top of the tower is inhabited by a wandering trader named "Lord ze stráže" (Lord of the Watch).

There are several landmines scarred around the plateau on which the tower is built; the player should be cautious where they step.
Tip
Before you capture the Last watch flag, it is advised to gather some blocks, because the tower is often blown up or the stairs are burned, making the flag unreachable. There is a one tree nearby that can serve as a source of blocks.

Nearby caves can be a good place to hide a Portal. Last Watch is an ideal spot for those, because of its position and altitude.

Trivia
* Despite the Flag area being a tower siege, the Flag often turns into a floating island type of fight instead.

Flags are capture points in the Cithare plugin for Minecraft. Holding a Flag is the main source of score points for the Siege Teams, so they are key instruments of the victory.

Appearance
Each flag consist of a base of nine Iron Blocks in 3x3 horizontal square. Attached on the bottom of the middle Iron Block is a Conduit, laid on the top of the same Iron Block is an active Beacon surrounded by eight Carpets. On top of the beacon is a single block of Tinted Glass of the colour of the Siege Team who has captured the Flag. If no Team has the Flag claimed, the Tinted Glass is white. A quick look at the Beacon beam of light thus gives away what team is currently holding an approached Flag.

Capturing
<blockquote>
Valiant conqueror or ruthless pirate, friend or foe, heed my words: You might be looking for Scoring to calculate how many score points a Flag contributes to your Team at any given moment. You shall not find that here.</blockquote>
At the beginning of the game the Glass and Carpets are white, meaning that the Flag is unclaimed. When a member of any of the Team breaks the Glass, the Flag begins to be contested by their team over the course of 32 seconds. For each second the Flag is contested a tile of Carpet around the Flag changes colour to the assigned colour of contesting team. During the contesting period the Flag contributes to the score of the Team that has is currently captured, not the team that is contesting it.

After the 32 seconds of the contesting period the Flag is captured by the Siege Team that has successfully contested it or becomes unclaimed if it has been successfully contested by the Pirate Team. A Flag can be contested by multiple Teams at once and is captured by the last Team to be conquesting it when the conquest period is over.

In the Cithare Throne Room the Banner representing a Flag is White if it is unclaimed and in the colour of the capturing Siege Team if it is captured. Additionally it is diagonally crossed in the colours of the contesting Team whenever that flag is contested.

Flag Types
The Siege of Cithare currently knows three types of Flags.

Main Flags
Static Flags are always active over the course of the game and at the beginning of the game are unclaimed. In the Cithare Palace Throne Room each Static Flag is represented by two Banners and a Sign with the Flag's name. No spawn can be placed in a radius of 110 blocks from the Main Flag at any height.

The Main Flags are: Cithare Palace, Crossroads, Last Watch, and Steep.

Travelling Flags
Travelling Flags are inactive at the start of the game excpet one chosen at random. Whenever a Travelling Flag is activated, it is announced in the chat for all players. An active Travelling Flag remains active for 20 minutes after which it deactivates and all progress on it is reset. A new Travelling Flag is chosen for activation prioritising a Flag that has been activated the least and it is announced in the chat 5 minutes before the current Travelling Flag deactivates. The new Travelling Flag is activated 5 minutes later. Therefore exactly 1 Travelling Flag is always active.

In the Cithare Palace Throne Room the active Travelling Flag is represented by one Banner and a Sign saying "Travelling Flag". Otherwise the Travelling Flags function identically to Main Flags.

The Travelling Flags are: Grandma's Hut, Fairy Rings, Secret Sanctuary, and Sunken Shrine. Ruins of Zamar, while being marked as a Travelling Flag, never activates in a game.

Bonus Flag
At 15:00 and 45:00 a random currently active Flag becomes a Bonus Flag for 5 minutes. Which Flag is about to become a Bonus Flag is announced in the chat in advance. A Bonus Flag gives the Team currently holding it more score points.

Trivia
* All Flags are situated north of Chapel of Mary Magdalene.
* Main Flags are sometimes referred to as perma-Flags, Static Flags, non-Travelling flags or simply Flags.
* Only one light beam from a flag ought to be visible at the same time from the ground level.
* The Cithare Palace Throne Room is a strategic location to keep track of which team is holding which Flag. The only other to know who holds or conquests which Flag without personally checking is the Marksman's Flag Tag.
* Despite Flags featuring heavily, the Siege of Cithare is not Capture-the-Flag style of game, as the Flags remain at their place and are not carried anywhere. Yet a certain contributor the the Cithare Wiki stubbornly calls it just so.
* An additional Flag used to be in Bandit's Stronghold in the early development of the Siege of Cithare, but has been since then removed, as the area was too remote to be conquested at a beneficial level. Ruins of Zamar have been deactivated for similar reasons, but the Flag location there has remained as a token of respect for the location¨s contribution to the development.

Chapel of Mary Magdalene is located directly south of the city of Cithare. Following the main road leads to the city proper while walking along the Old Road to the west takes one to the Ruins of Zamar.

During the Siege of Cithare this location serves as the default spawn from where Team Captains start, and should anyone die while their Team does not have its own Spawn, they are resurrected here as well.

History
Years ago in more peaceful times the Chapel of Mary Magdalene was the holy place of worship in the Citharian Kingdom and saw countless pilgrims every year who came to pay their respects to Saint Mary Magdalene, the patron saint of the kingdom.

Today the place is formally abandoned, but many people and survivors of the ravaging war tend to the chapel and prevent its holy light from extinguishing and the sacred place from falling decrepit. You would find it hard to find a priest in the place, however.

Trivia
* While named as chapel, the structure is a church.
** That is not a mistake; the chapel is based on the Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene scuplted by Václav Levý into a sandstone rock formation in Central Bohemia. The name of the world spawn location in the Siege of Cithare is a homage to this artistic landmark.
* The existence of St. Mary Magdalene implies that the world of Cithare knows Christianity.

Whenever a Travelling Flag is activated,i t is announced in the chat for all players. An active Travelling Flag remains active for 20 minutes after which it deactivates and all progress on it is reset. A new Travelling Flag is chosen randomly for activation and announced in the chat 5 minutes before the current Travelling Flag deactivates and it is activated 5 minutes later. Therefore exactly 1 Travelling Flag is always active. A Travelling Flag can never be activated twice in one game.

Trivia
* All Flags are situated north of Chapel of Mary Magdelene.

At the beginning of the game the Glass and Carpets are white, meaning that the Flag is unclaimed. When a member of any of the Team breaks the Glass, the Flag begins to be contested by their team over the course of 8 seconds. For each second the Flag is contested a tile of Carpet around the Flag changes colour to the assigned colour of contesting team. During the contesting period the Flag contributes to the score of the Team that has is currently captured, not the team that is contesting it. A Flag can be contested only by one Team at the time.
